Do You Have Questions About Farming?  Apply To Be A Field Mom!

 Are you a mom yourself or do you know of a mom who is interested in learning more about farming and food production?  The Lee County Farm Bureau Public Relations Committee is seeking applicants for the Lee County Field Moms program – a program designed to give non-farm moms an up close and personal experience with farming and area farmers.  Moms of Lee County are invited to participate in the one year long program, which will consist of seasonal farm tours that may include farms such as corn, soybeans, cattle, and more.  Moms will have an opportunity to see first-hand the practices that are used on farms and will have the opportunity to ask their questions about agriculture to the experts themselves – the farmers!  Applications are due to the Lee County Farm Bureau by August 15.  For more information, please call (815) 857-3531.
