the Lee County Farm Bureau® will be hosting its 16th Annual Farm Visit Day on Saturday, August 14, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The general public is invited to visit a local grain farm, learn about the conservation practices, and have the opportunity to speak to area farmers. Busses will load at Woodhaven Association in Sublette and take you to visit the host farm. Admission is free, however, a reservation ticket is required to board the bus. Tickets are available at the Woodhaven Association Main Office, 815-849-5200.
Visitors to the farm will get a better understanding of grain and wind production in Illinois and will have the opportunity to mingle and experience multiple exhibits and displays, as well as enjoy a guided tour of the farm and a complimentary lunch. There is something for everyone to enjoy – it’s a great place to bring the family!
