The Lee, Carroll, Ogle and Whiteside County Farm Bureaus, along with COUNTRY Financial, will host a crop marketing outlook on Wednesday, June 14, at the Days Inn, 2105 1st Ave, Rock Falls.
"Riding the Crop Price Cycle" is a two-hour seminar designed specifically for producers to help them manage risk associated with the current commodity markets and identify market conditions to capture profit margins through this year into next.
During the two-hour program, producers will examine the following topics:

SUMMER 2023 - POLLINATOR SEED SALE

With support from Illinois Farm Bureau (IFB) Pollinator Conservation Grant and Growmark, Lee, Bureau, Marshall-Putnam, Stark and Whiteside County Farm Bureaus (CFB) are once again partnering on a discounted pollinator seed sale program.
With the help of AgView FS, the partnering CFBs are taking orders for pollinator seed ahead of Summer 2023 planting.
Seeding rates can vary for pollinator mixes and applications, but the recommended rate for this mix is around 5-10 pounds per acre.
Please click on the link below to order your seed. Discounted pricing applies to the first 400 pounds, with an additional discount being offered by CFB members.
Orders can be paid for at any of the partnering CFBs by Friday, June 23rd. Please be sure to provide up-to-date contact information so you can be contacted once your order arrives.
Seed orders will be ready for pick up sometime in July.

MARQUIS ENERGY TOUR - TUESDAY, JULY 11
The Lee County Farm Bureau invites you to tour Marquis Energy Ethanol Plant in Hennepin on July 11 at 9 a.m.
The tour is for ages 16+ and is expected to last two hours.
Long pants and comfortable, closed-toed shoes are required.
This is a walking tour, but golf cart transportation accommodations are available for those who need assistance.
